Pen to Paper

I bought a journal on November 6, 2014 and began writing in it on that day. Today I finished it up. When I started in this journal, I bought a beautiful black Cross Townsend Journal1Completedfountain pen with gold accents and nib with my name engraved with scripted gold letters on the cap. It’s really cool.

There’s this very large and popular online forum called The Fountain Pen Network, and people there collect fountain pens and lots of them. They talk about pens, nibs, inks, paper, what they write, etc. People there are pretty obsessive about their pens. I guess I am, too. Since November, I’ve purchased two more. One more and I’ll be set. There’s another site, Goulet Pens, where they have a section on their blog, “Fountain Pen 101“, where you can learn more about them.

I’ve really enjoyed taking pen to paper for a change. For decades I’ve used my computer for all my writing. Now I’d like to improve my handwriting, and perhaps even get into calligraphy.

Want to see something cool? It’s called the Bullet Journal. I will leave you with this video for a demonstration. Could it be for you?
