Author, Todd W. Haines, wanted to do something about homelessness instead of just talking about it, so he spent 3 months as a homeless person in the city of Miami. The result? His new book, “Banana Burps”, soon to be released. Todd, I look forward to reading.

Banana Burps

I’ve always been intrigued by politics. Some of the best conversations that I’ve had involved great friends, a few cold ones and lively discussion on current events. Powerful ideas were tossed around…their pros and cons debated. Conclusions were drawn. My friends and I had all the answers to what plagued society. All anyone had to do was ask us.

As much as I enjoyed those conversations with my friends I began to realize that in the grand scheme of things, we weren’t making any impact at all. Much like Congress, state legislatures and city councils throughout the United States. Lots of talk. Some grandstanding. A few campaign promises. Very little in the way of RESULTS…action.
